11. Drake -- $10.5 million
NOTHING WAS THE SAME…
When Jimmy Brooks changed the rap game all the way from Toronto, taking up the moniker Drake, undergoing extensive stem cell therapy, and regaining use of his legs after a school shooter fired into his spine.
Now a big time Canadian rapper performing in the United States, Drake was able to make $10.5 million with little to no tours or project releases during the 2012-2013 Forbes scoring period.
We can safely assume he’ll be back on the top 10 next year with the release of his junior album, Nothing Was The Same on September 24, 2013 (the day this report was released by Forbes).
