I’m trying to Annotate the phrase “Marc Andreessen” which was partially previously annotated – I thought I should be able to create a new annotation – so this is a reply to say that this “layering” of annotations when someone has started a previous annotation does not work. Anyone – does anyone know how I can contact Marc Andreesen?

Circa 2017 I read with interest that Genius was at the forefront of a nascent Annotated Web technology and inquired with @ewokABdevito , who broke the news it was no longer a company focus. I maintain information consumers would gobble a trusted, global annotation feature. As I see it, any online information could be annotated by anyone, but only shared among readers who follow you and with whom one follows. Applications might include a subscription to Snopes annotations that call BS in-line next to Fox propaganda, or by following trusted journalists who annotate content created by themselves or by other news sources – imagine an in-line debate between Alisena and Krugman, versus a serendipitous web find. Basically this is how we use the Internet now, except we must independently search for commentary that clarifies content or validates our beliefs. Please drop everything and make the AW happen %^O
