Winston Churchill

Winston Churchill was one of the most famous politicians of his day, the Prime Minster of England during part of World War II. “We’ll fight them on the beaches” is a famous speech by him you hopefully have heard of. He also coined the term Iron Curtain in his “Sinews of Peace” speech in 1946, warning that Stalin’s evil Soviet Union had conquered half the continent and held it under brutal repression:

From Stettin in the Baltic to Trieste in the Adriatic, an iron curtain has descended across the Continent.
