“Look Out For Detox” was recorded as a promotion for Dr. Dre’s unreleased Detox—which attained semi-mythical status over the decade-plus period since it was first announced. Dre, however, confirmed the death of Detox in late 2015, in advance of the release of Compton.

The song was produced by Childish Gambino. The beat also can be heard on Gambino’s song “You Know Me.”

“X Gon' Give it to Ya” is the debut single from the Cradle 2 the Grave soundtrack—a 2003 action movie starring DMX and Jet Li.

In the song, DMX asserts his power, telling everyone to stay away from him and not pick a fight with him, or else he’ll “give it to ya!”

The song received renewed attention in 2015 after being featured in a trailer for Deadpool (eventually appearing in the movie itself, given ‘X’ also fits ‘X-Men’), and in the hit animated series Rick and Morty.
