i tried to go here one saturday night and the wait was 15 minutes to put my name down, 2.5 hours for a table. naturally i said “f it” and yelped for a different ramen spot. there are a TON of ramen spots within a 4 block radius and i really want to believe it’s a result of ippudo’s insane wait times. makes sense: you have a ton of people demanding ramen but scarcity of supply – great place to open a ramen shop!

it’s hard for me to believe that snapchat has “changed the nature of digital communication” until i see 15 year old girls who literally send a snap every five minutes of their life. also really nuts to think about the fact that in may 2014, snapchat users were sending over 700 million photo and video messages per day, up from 500 million in december 2013.

likely plan to make a big move into mobile payments as evidenced by announcement of snapcash. will be cool to see what kind of advertising snapchat rolls out – imagine seeing a movie trailer in the stories section and then being able to buy tickets directly through the app.

this is on display at the moma – it’s honestly the best piece in the entire museum, “matisse cut-outs” INCLUDED. i took a video of it on my phone that i like to bust out at the 2 parties a month i attend. i think dataviz is the future of art. data x traditional design theory: what is more contemporary or representative of the modern age, of how rapidly advancing technologies are transforming the world around us?
