i relocated to brooklyn from sf (i used to live so close to the OG philz on 24th!! #primerealestate) a month ago and i miss you every day. literally, my big plan for my first trip back to sf is called “philz n hillz.”

do you know what i had to do last week to get my caffeine fix? i had to go to blue bottle. i mean, i never considered myself a masochist but there i was, in line, NOT waiting for a small jacobs, black. look what i’ve been reduced to.

“there’s lots of artisanal coffee shops here,” people keep telling me, and they’re all undoubtedly not from the bay because no one who has ever had the HONOR of stepping into a philz would dare even think of comparing it to any other coffee shop. i mean philz isn’t even a “coffee shop” it’s a revelation!!

anyways, i hope all is well. i miss you. i’m sorry i cheated on you.
