Alford hauled in 65 receptions for 945 yards/11 TDs in his senior season, causing NFL draft analyst Charles Davis to comment:

I would be very wary of overlooking Alford – he put up big numbers playing opposite one of the top wide receivers in this draft, Kevin White. He’s a competitor and I think he’ll be tough to cut once he gets into an NFL training camp.

In three seasons at USC, Agholor picked up 2571 receiving yards to go along with 20 TDs. As one of the draft’s top wideouts, he’ll likely be taken in the second round, but could find his way into the first based on team needs. Shaun King, current analyst and former pro quarterback, said:

Outstanding athlete. Elite athleticism, good speed… kind of a big-play wide receiver. I think he’ll definitely be able to fit into an NFL system. They ran a pro-like system at Southern Cal that’ll help him at the next level. I guess the only negative I see on him is [he’s] a little skinny. He can probably use some added muscle on his frame. He may be a little frail. It’ll be interesting how the physicality of the National Football League affects him.

Since that’s the mission, why isn’t that advertised on the billboard instead of a baby’s silhouette? I would personally do something like:

Black background, Genius diamond logo centered, yellow Genius text with “ANNOTATE THE WORLD” above it and “GENIUS.COM” below. Hell, you can take the .com out and just leave it as Genius. That’s enough of a search/discovery base. There’s no connection with the baby, considering it’s an on-site inside joke. To the outside world, it’s more of a “WTF, moving on with my day” reaction.

This reminds me of sports teams vying for a playoff position. Are you surprised? Think about it though… how many teams in the history of sports have fortified their rosters in the offseason, been pegged as championship contenders, then ended up losing in the first round? Plenty.

For example, the 2013-14 Houston Rockets entered the season as legitimate contenders after the acquisition of star center Dwight Howard. They had another full-fledged superstar in James Harden, a glue guy in Chandler Parsons, and an extra starter-quality big man in Omer Asik. The team was poised for a run.

Unfortunately, the Rockets were eliminated in six games in the opening round by the Portland Trailblazers – a team they were expected to defeat in five. Just goes to show how quickly promise can vanish into thin air… or a net, if you will.

En route to his 2008 dunk title, Howard proved that big men can dunk.

In a set that included props (and Orlando teammate Jameer Nelson), Howard removed his Magic jersey to show off a Superman logo. He tied a red cape around his shoulders, took off running near midcourt, leapt into the air just inside the free throw line, and threw the ball down.

There’s not a dunk more memorable than the perfect 50 Michael Jordan achieved in his 1988 Chicago showdown against Dominique Wilkins.

Soaring from the foul line, Jordan slammed the ball home amidst a frenzy of camera flashes. Both players recalled their experience prior to 2015’s event.
