It should be “keeps watching over you and ME,” not “you and I,” of course. If you don’t believe me, leave out the “you” – you would say “keeps watching over ME,” not “keeps watching over I,” correct? (In this context, “you” and “me” are the objects of the preposition “over” – “I” is the first-person singular pronoun that’s used as a subject while “me” is the first-person singular pronoun that’s used as an object.)

Paul doesn’t really mean “ask of you” here – he means “ask you.”

But “ask you” would have left him short one syllable – he would have had to rewrite the line.

This line was “I can hardly wait to SLEEP with you again” on the original 1969 Delaney & Bonnie and Friends recording of this song. The Carpenters changed the line to “I can hardly wait to BE with you again” when they covered the song a couple of years later to ensure that their record could be played on all radio stations.

This is an urban myth – a seagull that swallows an Alka-Seltzer or another effervescent antacid tablet will NOT explode from the gas that forms in its stomach.

Exploding Seagulls was a Bristol-based post punk band that released “Johnny Runs for Paregoric” in 1980. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CCN43O57Yf8

This statement is not exactly correct under the 22nd Amendment to the US Constitution. No one can be elected President more than twice. But if a Vice President becomes President due to the death of the President with less than two years left in the deceased President’s term, he or she may be still be elected twice – and so could serve as President for as long as 10 years. (If a Vice President succeeds to the Presidency with more than two years left in the term, he or she may only be elected as President once – so that person’s maximum term of office could be as short as six years.)
