Glow

Rick James

About “Glow”

One year after the Reflections compilation, Rick James returned with Glow in 1985. The album features the punk-funk he’s known for, as well as elements of new wave on the opening track “Can’t Stop,” glossy pop on the title single, and the soul of “Moonchild,” which was later sampled on the Mary J. Blige and Nas collaboration “Love is All We Need.” Many fans of Rick James felt this album was underrated but the title track was able to hit the #1 spot on the Dance Singles chart.
