Muddy Waters Too

Redman

About “Muddy Waters Too”

“Muddy Waters Too” is the long-awaited 9th studio album by American rapper Redman, and sequel to his classic 1996 release, “Muddy Waters”.

It is unknown at the moment when the album will be released, as Redman has been hyping this album up as early as 2009, and has teased it multiple times since.

In 2015, following the release of his 8th studio album, “Mudface”, Redman was interviewed about his personal ranking of his own albums, and in that interview, Red stated that Mudface was more of an EP to hold the fans over until Muddy Waters Too finally dropped.

In 2018, Redman began to release various singles. This began with “I Love Hip Hop”, released June 22nd, 2018. Then, on July 13th, 2018, he released “Ya!”, which stated at the bottom of the cover art “From the Muddy Waters Too movement”. This gave the fans hope that Red was finally rolling out the album.

Throughout 2018 and into 2019, he released more singles: “1990 Now”, “Tear It Up”, “Trap House (Ft. Kazzie)” and “Black Man In America (Ft. Pressure)”.
However, after this Redman did not release again until 2020s “3 Joints” EP.

Red began to release singles throughout 2021 and 2022, including “80 Barz”, “So Cool” and “Jane”.
The cover art for “So Cool” again got people talking about Muddy waters Too, as it showed Red sat next to the famous sunflower in a jar from the original Muddy Waters cover art.

As of April 2023, it is unknown when the album is going to be released.
