Entergalactic Tracklist
Entergalactic is Kid Cudi’s eighth solo studio album, released on September 30, 2022. It was released in tandem with the eponymous animated movie, which was produced by Cudi himself, Kenya Barris and Ian Edelman and made available as a Netflix exclusive.
Officially announced for the first time in 2019 and originally set to be released in 2020, the LP was then delayed twice, with the final release date ultimately set for the end of summer 2022.
On June 10, 2022, the lead single from the album, “Do What I Want,” was released.
Five days later, on June 15, 2022, Cudi announced through social media that both the album and animated show would be released on September 30, 2022.
On September 23, 2022, a week before Entergalactic’s release, “Willing to Trust,” featuring Ty Dolla $ign, was released as the album’s second single.
In several interviews promoting the project, Cudi hinted at the possibility that Entergalactic could be his final album.

How did this album perform on the charts?
Entergalactic debuted and peaked at #13 on the Billboard 200 for the chart week ending October 15, 2022. The album moved 23,000 equivalent album units in its first sales week.

No, it isn’t. The soundtrack for the series was actually curated by producer Dot Da Genius.

What have the artists said about the album?
The album was done in 2019, it took the whole year. I did Man on the Moon III right after. So, I knocked that out in 2019, and then the show took about three years, from 2019 to 2022. It was a beautiful thing to see it all come together. The marriage of the two things, just seeing my crazy ideas working. That was the real exciting part. While I had this really ambitious idea, it’s never been done before, so I can’t say, “It’s kind of like this or kind of like that,” but it’s working.

Where did the album's title stem from?
I think back in the day, when I came up with it for the title of my song, this love song I created for the first album, it was more so an expression of feelings. This euphoric, fantastic feeling you have when you meet a woman for the first time, hang out with a crush or someone you really have feelings for. And the original song was inspired by a story about years ago, early on in my New York days. I met this girl and we hit it off, and we did shrooms at her apartment, and we just had this really magical night. And I was just like, “Woah, this is so entergalactic,” and that just stuck with me, and that’s why I decided to title the song that. And when I was thinking about this, thinking about, “Oh, I’m writing a love story again,” and this Kid Cudi “loverboy/R&B side,” which I only had a chance to do a couple times, on albums here and there.
