Destiny Fulfilled is the fourth and final album by Destiny’s Child. The album serves as a short comeback release and is a mid-tempo R&B mix that all tells a story. It was a success worldwide and especially in the US, debuting at #2 on the Billboard 200 and is certified quadruple platinum by the RIAA. There were four singles for the album; “Lose My Breath”, “Soldier”, “Girl” and “Cater 2 U”.

In an interview with Deborah Norville, Kelly Rowland remarked:
“Destiny Fulfilled” is just, I have to say, one of the most amazing records that Destiny’s Child has ever done because like I said, it’s growth, it’s confidence, it’s just so many different elements on this record that makes it, you know, the great record that we feel that it is.

What was the inspiration behind the album?
In an interview, Beyoncé revealed:
Our inspiration is friendship and life, you know. Everything that we talked about were things we experienced while we had our little time to find ourselves and to grow up. It gave us something to write about because we had to break up, make up, find love, not find love, whatever. Life isn’t always happy, life isn’t always sad and that’s the beautiful thing about the album. It talks about all the things: when you first meet a guy, you’re attracted to him, you think he’s the one, you think he’s your soldier, you give him everything and you find out he’s not as faithful and as strong as you thought he was. Then your friend sees that you’re going through something, ‘cause sometimes your friends see something in you that you can’t even see about yourself….And then you find out you’re strong enough to be by yourself and when you find love within yourself then God brings you love—that’s basically what the story is about.
