Easy Lyrics

[Verse 1: Rascal Flatts]
We broke up, yeah, it's tough, most guys would've been crushed
Wasting their time wondering where they went wrong
No way, not me, hey, I'm doing just fine
I'm not afraid of moving on, it's...

[Chorus: Rascal Flatts]
Easy...going out on a Friday night
Easy...every time I see her out
I can smile, live it up the way a single guy does
But what she, what she don't know
Is how hard it is to make it look so
Easy

[Verse 2: Natasha Bedingfield]
The truth is I miss lying in those arms of his
But I don't ever let it show
I laugh and I act like I'm having the time of my life
As far as he knows, it's...

[Chorus: Natasha Bedingfield]
Easy...going out on a Friday night
Easy...every time I see him out
I can smile, live it up the way a single girl does
But what he, what he don't know
Is how hard it is to make it look so
Easy
[Bridge: Natasha Bedingfield]
Oh, it's easy, yeah

[Chorus: Rascal Flatts, Natasha Bedingfield, Rascal Flatts & Natasha Bedingfield]
Oh, it's easy...going out on a Friday night
Oh, it's easy...every time I see him out
I can smile
Live it up
Forget about the way it was
But what she
Oh, what he don't know
What she don't know
Is how hard it is to make it look so
Easy

[Outro: Rascal Flatts, Natasha Bedingfield]
Oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh
Oh, it looks so easy
So easy, yeah-ooh

What did Rascal Flatts & Natasha Bedingfield say about "Easy"?
Genius Answer

Bassist Jay DeMarcus on who’s idea it was for the song to become a duet:

It was one of those songs that was pitched to us for the last record, and we fell in love with it immediately. I think it was Gary’s idea on the bus one day – “You know, this could be a cool duet.” The more we talked about it, the more it made sense. We were huge fans of Natasha’s. We sent her the song, she knew who we were, and was a fan of country music. She had known us for “God Bless the Broken Road” and “What Hurts The Most.” She came to Nashville, and watching the two of them in the studio was very inspiring.

What has Natasha Bedingfield said about working with the Rascal Flatts?
Genius Answer

I’ve always had very eclectic and varied tastes in music. I think you’re always going to see that from me, just working with people in different genres. I love it. Rascal Flatts were fantastic; I’ve always been into folk music and Americana, people like Johnny Cash, so I feel that’s quite linked to country music. And I know Rascal Flatts are classified as pop/country, definitely more in that world. So it was like opening a window for me."
