About

Genius Annotation

Journalist Michael Hastings stepped into the international spotlight in 2010 when his bombshell Rolling Stone article about NATO commander Stanley McChrystal’s conduct of the Afghanistan war led to the famed Army general’s public ouster by President Obama.

Hastings didn’t stop there, and he continued to research and publish articles about U.S. malfeasance and unconstitutional and illegal behavior.

Hastings died in a single-car collision earlier this year.

Shouts to Al Jazeera for liberating the file.
