Since 2007, Corey Johnson has been a city commissioner of Augusta, Georgia. In January 2013 he was elected to the position of Mayor Pro-term.
This document, the District 22 Platform, was part of Johnson’s 2014 campaign for the District 22 state senate seat. District 22 contains much of the city of Augusta. Johnson was defeated by Harold Jones in the Democratic primary run-off vote held on July 22, 2014. For details, see this article in the Augusta Chronicle.
