This is an urban myth — a seagull that swallows an Alka-Seltzer or another effervescent antacid tablet will NOT explode from the gas that forms in its stomach.

Exploding Seagulls was a Bristol-based post punk band that released “Johnny Runs for Paregoric” in 1980. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CCN43O57Yf8

What a crock. Ms. Hill made $1.8 million and paid zero taxes on that income. When she got caught, she promised to pay restitution and then broke her promise. Her behavior is an insult to all the hardworking middle-class people in this country who make a lot less money but still pay their fair share of taxes. Her attempt to duck responsibility for her actions is dishonest and hypocritical.

This statement is not exactly correct under the 22nd Amendment to the US Constitution. No one can be elected President more than twice. But if a Vice President becomes President due to the death of the President with less than two years left in the deceased President’s term, he or she may be still be elected twice — and so could serve as President for as long as 10 years. (If a Vice President succeeds to the Presidency with more than two years left in the term, he or she may only be elected as Presdient once — so that person’s maximum term of office could be as short as six years.)

This line (Psycho eyes and a stovepipe hat) always made me think of Tom Petty and the video for “Don’t Come Around Here No More”; with all the other musical references in the song, it seems to make sense.

Gucci Mane’s “Lemonade” contains numerous references to yellow diamonds.

This line is reminiscent of the line in 50 Cent’s “In Da Club”: “You can find me in the club …”

This line is reminiscent of a line from T.I.’s “What You Know”: “See me in your city, sittin' pretty — know I’m shinin' dog …”

Good luck finding this quote in “Ulysses.”

In 2012, a federal appeals court ruled that the distinctive red soles of Louboutin shoes were entitled to trademark protection. Click here to read the court’s opinion.

Here’s a Veloche “Velvet”-model wheel:

"Chrome wheeled, fuel injected and steppin out over the line" (Bruce Springsteen – Born to Run) | accepted

The first fuel-injected motorcycle available to the general public was the Honda CX500TURBO, which was introduced in 1982 — several years after this song was written. So “fuel-injected” here can’t apply to a motorcycle (unless Springsteen was essentially clueless about motorcycle engines, which is certainly possible).

It’s spelled “Elisabeth.”

She is best known for her role as a prostitute in “Leaving Las Vegas,‘ which earned her an Oscar nomination.

Folks, the “Summer of Love” was 1967 — not 1969. (The “Summer of Love” took place in San Francisco — Haight-Ashbury — it had nothing to do with Woodstock.)

I hope Ted Leonsis is more successful running Groupon than he has been running his NBA and NHL teams.
