Open to Better Lyrics

Every second of every day, we look for better: a better night's sleep, a better parking spot, a better view. And when we're unsure, we have no problem asking, "Which is better?" We want our kids to be better than us, and our country to do better for everyone. Wanting better isn't a bad thing, because it pushes us ahead. Building a better pipeline can make us better. The safest pipeline Canada has ever seen, and one that's better in protecting what matters most to us: our fish, our forests, our waters. Our better will not be at the expense of making other things worse. We'll respect nature and everything that lives within it. If we're only to question; to challenge; to debate, we can get to better, together.

About

Genius Annotation

Enbridge, known for its horrific track record (including the largest tar sand spill in U.S. history that took place in Kalamazoo, Michigan in 2010 (1,100,000 gallons of diluted bitumen; i.e. oil residue), along with a recent 5,880 gallons of crude oil near Griffith, Indiana that took place on August 3, 2013), created this commercial getting its name out for support of a $1 billion pipeline in northern Alberta (Canada), along with a few other Midwestern projects in the United States.

The rhetoric in the commercial with a claim that you care (both the words and the video) does not correlate with they have done before. They need to have clear-cut objectives about how to clean up their messes.
As nothing is being done, more and more lives are becoming negatively affected: people needing to evacuate their homes and/or getting sick, and of course the species whose habitats are near these hazardous sites are dying exponentially.

A response commercial was created. It’s funny, delicious, quite a few annotations on this page:
