Over the past few months I’ve noticed more and more business leaders citing personal examples during strategic discussions. This is understandable, because everyone now has a smartphone or a tablet or both, but it’s an alarming trend.
Business leaders that say things like;
“That’s how Dad did it, that’s how America does it, and it’s worked out pretty well so far”
are in a CAVE…by constantly referring to technology as a crutch for answers, valuable perspective is lost on any given business venture. The trend on how dependent we are on technology has been increasing exponentially when you consider our existence prior to computers.
