Today, the Senate passed the Violence Against Women Act that Joe Biden originally wrote almost 20 years ago.
The Violence Against Women Act was recently reauthorized to better protect women against domestic violence. The revised edition extends more protection to gays, lesbians, and Native American women. While it was passed by the Senate, it still needs to pass in the House.
