Trailers for sale or rent
Rooms to let, fifty cents
No phone, no pool, no pets
I ain't got no cigarettes
Ah, but..two hours of pushin' broom
Buys an eight by twelve four-bit room
I'm a man of means by no means
King of the road.

Meaning

King Of The Road is a song by country artist Roger Miller. It was a huge crossover hit in 1964, topping charts on both sides of the Atlantic, and tells the story of an upbeat hobo.

Dean Martin both covered this song, and released his own knock-off, “Houston”, to capitalise on the song’s success.
